HonorTrack is an instructional analytics tool designed to help educators organize and review classroom performance data (for example, skill practice results and teacher-entered records). This policy explains what information is handled and how it is protected.
Information We Handle
- Teacher account information (name, email) used for login and access control.
- Instructional performance data entered or imported by educators (e.g., scores, timestamps, class labels).
- Basic technical data needed to operate the service (e.g., logs for security and error troubleshooting).
HonorTrack is not intended for public use by children under 13 without school/parental authorization and oversight.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect student passwords for external platforms.
- We do not sell student or teacher information.
- We do not run advertising trackers on the site.
How Information Is Used
- To display instructional reports and dashboards for authorized educators.
- To support classroom intervention planning and progress monitoring.
- To maintain security, prevent misuse, and fix technical issues.
Access Controls
Access is restricted to authorized users. Data is intended to be viewable only by the educator (and authorized school leaders, if applicable) connected to that dataset.
Data Security
We use modern security practices (encrypted connections via HTTPS, authentication, and least-privilege access controls) to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard data.
Data Retention
Instructional records are retained for as long as needed for educational purposes, or until an authorized user requests deletion, subject to school/district requirements.
